  • “Great hotel at a reasonable price”

Hotel is in a great location not far from the Egyptian Museum (a short taxi ride). Good area with restaurants near. The hotel is typically for Egyptian nationals so has recently gone alcohol free as many of the other hotels in the city. Website was not updated to reflect this and staff kept telling us they served it at one or more of their dining areas. They did not. But I would stay here again. Stayed February 2016, traveled with friends

  • “Excellent service and great value for money”

The one thing that left an impression on me is the quality of service at the hotel. The staff are very professional and nice right from the reception to the waiters to house keeping. When my internet was broken, it took less than 8 minutes from the time I called the reception to lodge a complaint and the IT guy to get to my room on the 10th floor. And he got the problem fixed in record time! I had a good room with a great view of the pyramids on the horizon (visible in the morning from my balcony). The rooms are neat and tidy. The hotel has excellent food with a wide range to pick from. You will be spoiled for choice! They also have a good tour operator right in the hotel who can arrange a trip for you to the pyramids, museum, boat cruise on the Nile or any place you want to visit at an affordable price. The hotel is also located in a central place so it is easy to access places of interest within the city. If you enjoy classical music, the hotel has a piano lounge with a pianist and flute player to keep you relaxed in the evenings. So if you are looking for a great hotel in Cairo, put Safir on your list.
